Purpose:
To inform those in leadership positions, of the current EEO legislation regarding discrimination, harassment and bullying in the workplace and their added responsibilities as role models of appropriate behavior and appropriate management of complaints.
Participants will be able to:
- Understand which issues could result in a breach of legal and organizational requirements relating to discrimination, harassment and bullying
- Understand the concepts of EEO related risk and liability for both the organization and the individual
- Understand the greater responsibility placed on managers and supervisors as role models-
- Of appropriate behavior,
- To consistently respond to inappropriate behavior
- To support their organizations policies
- Of appropriatoe complaint handling
- Understand and have knowledge of current organizational policy relating to discrimination, harassment and bullying
- Be able to identify and assess risk behaviours and contexts
Know how to manage a complaint in a way that minimizes the likelihood of future legal action.
Duration
